Handmade in Nicole’s home studio in coastal Maine. Each month, we explore one rare “lived in” word through art, etymology, and writing.

Each envelope includes:
∙ one 4x4in studio art print (archival) on watercolor paper
∙ Double-sided patterned bookmark (heavy cardstock)
∙ “Field Notes of a Luminary” hand-illustrated companion booklet (reflecting on moments of the word IRL)
∙ Intellectually imbued studio letter covering the word study of the month, art connection, and reflection
∙ A7 envelope 

Every edition is designed, printed, assembled, and packed by hand in small batches. No warehouse, no fulfillment center. One artist, one studio. For lovers of rare words, watercolor art, beautiful paper goods, and mail worth opening.

About packaging and shipping:

-To ensure eco-conscious packaging, the item is wrapped in acid-free / neutral PH glassine paper. This durable food grade paper can protect it from moisture in transit.

-The item will be enclosed in a standard mailing envelope.

-If you purchase multiple items, a larger mailer or box may be used to ensure all other items are not scrunched up or crowded in packaging.

Order Timeline: Subscribe by the 27th of the month prior to get the subscriber rate for that upcoming month. 

Shipping Timeline: Monthly subscription ships by the 1st of the correlating month.
